It seems unfair that the “greatest show ever” The Wire is getting an HD release from HBO. Wasn’t tremendous critical acclaim and commercial success enough? I think it’s time we give some of the “not so greatest” shows ever a second chance to make an impact and since we can’t exactly go back and rewrite, re-shoot or completely re-conceptualize any of the following series, the HD Bump will have to do the trick. If you sat through all three hours of the Emmy’s last night, you know that most of it felt like a repeat of previous Emmy shows with all the same winners being chosen over again… and let’s not even get into the strange alien-like live music. In the clip, Julia Louis Dreyfus tries to pawn her Seinfeld Emmy at “Barely Legal Pawn.” If this was actually on I’m sure it would be the most popular show on Television.
